Vegan, what is being vegan? Is it a religion or a fashion choice? It’s neither! Being vegan means that you don’t eat any meat or any product that comes from animals like eggs, cheese, milk and butter etc. Being vegan usually starts off as a diet but most of the time it turns into a way of life. But how can I live without meat and dairy?! You may ask, but if you knew the upside of being vegan, then no matter how many vegetables you would have to eat you would do it and I am going to tell you what it means to be vegan.

If you compare human teeth with herbivore and carnivore teeth than you would notice that human teeth look almost identical to the herbivore teeth, which an herbivore is an animal that only eats plants. This is one reason to why humans should become vegan. As much as we all love red meat, cheeseburgers and ribs those foods are not very good for you at all! When we eat meat, our digestive system doesn’t process the meat we eat very good compared to the fruits and vegetables because meat can harden and cause bloating to our stomachs.

In the last paragraphs I’ve told you reasons on why being vegan is healthier, but all of you must be thinking “What can I even eat if I become vegan!?” Well you’re in luck because I’m going to tell you about 4 delicious dishes and snacks that you can eat.

  • Organic Hummus with Red Pepper and Pita Chips: This delicious snack is healthy because of the fresh chick peas that the hummus carries along with the organic olive oil.
  • Vegan Banana Oat Pancakes: this breakfast meal is super delicious because of the banana taste in the pancakes and the grains put on top.
  • Quinoa with Rice and Corn: this delicious plate can be served either rice, corn or both. This dish is healthy because quinoa is one of the super foods because this dish has the most protein in it than any other meal.
  • Smashed Potatoes and Kale Salad with tomatoes: this amazing dinner option is super healthy because of the fresh kale used in the salad and the organic potatoes that were smashed to make smashed potatoes.
