President Trump has been Impeached

The first and second articles of impeachment have been passed by the US House of Representatives making President Trump the third president in US history to be impeached. The first article charged President Trump of abuse of power and the second charged him of obstruction of congress. For the first vote, two Democrats voted away from party lines. For the second, three votes away from party lines. Neither vote had any Republican support. The votes took place after eight hours of debate from all present house members today on the 18th of December 2019. The final vote on the first article was 230 in favor. The second article was passed with 229 in favor.
