Friends. We all have them. Well, I know everyone has friends, even if you don’t know it. Of course your family loves and cares for you, but other people care for you, too. Hi, I’m here to talk to about friends and why they are important.

The word “friends”. What does is mean to you? What does it mean to me? Well, I think it means some people that really mean most to you and are always by your side. Friends will always be there for you, no matter what. If you ever have a boyfriend or girlfriend, that relationship will probably be temporary. But with friends, that is a whole different story. If you do not think you have any friends, make a friend. There is probably someone out there that wants to be your friend. They are one of the best people you will ever make memories with.

If you don’t think anyone cares about you, you’re wrong. There are people who care about you and there are people who want to hang out with you. It is important to surround ourselves with friends for support and comfort in both times of joy and distress. Having friends you can rely on can help to boost your self-esteem. We may doubt our decisions and abilities, but our friends will never do so. Through the most nerve wreaking moments of life, they stand by us confidently making us believe in ourselves. In addition to negative peer pressure, friends can also provide a positive influence.

I think friends are very good listeners. They will always listen to you and try to put you on the positive side. You can tell your trusted friend(s) secrets. Friends are great secret keepers. It’s always good to tell your friend or family member an important secret to get it off of your chest. Reassuring words and a pat on the back are not the only things that your friends support you with. There are so many instances where you could not make it if it weren’t for your friends.

Friends encourage us to try things we can never imagine doing. All of them may not be positive, but they sure are adventurous. The memories of those moments are the factors that make life exciting and joyous. Without friends, life would be unimaginably boring.

We should never miss the chances to appreciate our friends for their time, care, love and simply friendship!
