3 Tasty Treats To Bake In Quarantine

May 14, 2020

Since we are quarantined, you guys must be bored. Well, we know how to fix that problem! How about three recipes that you can try to bake? They are simple and fun. We will make crepes, the birthday cake pops (like from Starbucks), and a brownie in a mug. Let’s start with the crepes!

For this treat, you will be needing,

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of milk
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • A bowl
  • A whisk
  • A pan

First, get a bowl and add all of your ingredients. Next, mix it all together with a whisk or whatever you would like to use. When you are done with that, pour your mix on the pan and move the pan in a circular movement, so it is thin and wide! When one side has been fully cooked flip it. When the crepe is ready put it on a plate and add the toppings that you want. We like to have strawberries and nutella on our crepes. Once you add your toppings, you can eat the crepe and enjoy. Now let’s move on to the Brownie in a Mug.

Brownie in a Mug

For this treat you will need,

  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons of (canola oil/coconut oil/sunflower oil)
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of chocolate chips
  • A mug
  • A stirring utensil

First, get your mug and simply place all your ingredients inside (except for the chocolate chips). When finished with the first task mix all your ingredients together. Then add your chocolate chips. When finished, put the mug inside the microwave to cook for about 45-60 seconds. When the brownie has fully cooked, add the topping you want or no toppings. Once you’re done, eat and enjoy! Lastly, we are going to learn how to bake birthday cake pops.

Cake Pops

For this treat you will need,

  • Vanilla cake mix
  • A knife
  • A Bowl
  • Icing
  • Pink chocolate (melted)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Parchment paper
  • A tray
  • Sprinkles
  • A cup
  • Shortening

First, you will get your cake mix and follow the instructions on the back. Once you are done with your cake, wait for it to cool down. Once it’s cooled down, get your knife and cut off all the brown stuff from the edges. Then, break up the cake until you get a soft consistency. After, get two tablespoons of icing and mix it together. Once you’re done with that, grab pieces from the cake and roll it into balls. Now it’s time to get your tray, parchment paper, and lollipop sticks. Put the parchment paper on the tray and then get your cake pops and add them onto the tray. Dip your lollipop sticks in pink chocolate and stick it halfway through each cake pop. Put all your cake pops in the fridge and leave it there for about 20 to 25 minutes. While your cake pops are in the fridge, put 12 ounces of pink chocolate in a bowl. You are also going to add 2 teaspoons of shortening in there. Mix that together and pour it into a cup. Now, you are going to dip your cake pops in there. Once you dipped them, add white sprinkles and let them dry. Once they are dried, eat and enjoy your homemade Starbucks cake pops.

We hope you try baking these delicious treats in your free time. If you do try these recipes at home, tell us what you think!
