Hurricane Michael was one of the worst hurricanes the Florida Panhandle has ever seen. But, as ever, the Cushman community was there to help! Ms. Ley- Sepe and the Student Government organized an emergency drive of cleaning supplies, personal hygiene supplies, and many other things. The Cushman community quickly ran to a Walmart or CVS and bought enough supplies to fill five car trips to the fire station, where the supplies will be shipped to Mexico Beach, where the hurricane struck worst, and given to the victims of this monstrous cyclone. “Everyone pitched in to help.” Ms. Ley said. “It’s really amazing what we can do if we put our minds to it.” Now, the deadline for all this supplies was today, but there are still so many ways to help our neighbors. The local fire stations are bringing up supplies, so run to a CVS or Walmart and help the victims of the hurricane that struck way too close for comfort. They would do the same for us.

This is one of the five car trips filled to the brim.
