Yesterday the Cougars went to their final Cross-Country meet. I participated in the meet. Alessia placed top 10 and Charlie placed top 20 among the eighth graders. About 180 kids participated in each group and all of them ran approximately two miles. It was hard to run in the blazing sun, but everyone persevered and placed well. I was very proud of the team because almost all the Cougars were in the front of the pack. The meet was fun because it was like running through a forest. The path was very narrow so if someone slow was in front of you it would be hard to pass. I am happy I went to the meet and I am even happier the team placed well. Go Cougars!
