Congratulations to the Shrek Cast! What great talent we have here at the Cushman School. From Lord Farquaad to the Duloc Dancers, everyone’s performance was astonishing. When I think of duos the first one that comes to mind is Shrek, played by Andre Lazarus, and Donkey, played by Emma Gulaskey. They were so witty and energetic on stage. I will never forget it! Fiona, played by Jolie Cannava, stole our hearts with her touching songs and angelic voice (as did Lily Kunkle and Estefania Velez). Ms. Herbert and Ms. Woods did such a fabulous job of putting together such a splendid play in such a short amount of time. I’m glad I “made a move” and bought tickets in time to see the performance.

I definitely think this cast of Shrek has “got you beat!” After all, no other Shrek cast, ANYWHERE, could have even come close to ours! They were amazing!

Even more, it was so special to see how well everyone got along and worked together as a team. It could not have been better. You can really tell how hard everyone worked. The props and scenery where beautiful, the costumes where just perfect, and everyone interpreted their character spectacularly! Yes, this was our first fall production and the start of a great new tradition at Cushman. So, to the 8th grade, I hope your first/last fall production in middle school was exactly what you wanted it to be. What a great way for you to end your middle school years and for us to start off our week. And to anyone that didn’t go, I hope this article gives you a picture about how the play was and please, next time, get tickets early because you won’t want to miss it! This show is now part of the “story of my life.” Well I think this is the “finale” of my article. See ya!

These students are so talented! It never fails to amaze me the work they are able to accomplish. And let’s not forget Mrs. Herbert and Mrs. Woods: under their direction, it’s amazing the productions that Cushman presents every year. Hats off to the cast and crew of this fun production that brought smiles to everyone’s faces!
